The Shimano Deore XT SM-RT76 is a dependable 160mm 6-bolt disc brake rotor that brings Shimano’s proven 2-piece rotor construction to a wide range of mountain, gravel, commuter, and general disc brake builds. Designed as a durable workhorse rotor, it offers consistent stopping power, improved heat management, and strong long-term reliability.
Its 2-piece design uses an aluminum spider paired with a steel braking surface to reduce weight, improve stiffness, and help the rotor run cooler than many one-piece designs. A cooler, stiffer rotor can help maintain more consistent braking performance under repeated hard use and reduce the chance of heat-related performance loss or warping.
The SM-RT76 is compatible with both metal and resin brake pad compounds and uses Shimano’s anti-loosen tightening plate design for secure installation.
