9010654087020I have a Felt VR Advanced Ultegra Di2 and recently purchased a VR Advanced 105 Di2 for my wife. At the price point, you simply can't beat Felt's delivery of quality carbon frameset, Di2 electronic shifting, good quality carbon wheelset, and solid disc brakes. Love Felt! We live in the Front Range of Colorado with a huge variety of terrain and road surfaces. The VR runs smooth and crisp over just about everything except maybe the most gnarly gravel. Even then, I can put on 35cc gravel ties and make it through just about anything. Loved the light weight and stiff responsive frame riding up Fall River Road's steep unpaved surfaces up to the Alpine Visitors Center, then screaming down Trail Ridge Road with the disc-braking through the tight curves. I've ridden Cannondale Synapse, Specialized Roubaix, and Giant Defy -- all with same or lesser componentry but more expensive (and heavier, in some cases), but no discernably better ride quality than the Felt. If you're still mulling your choices and you just want a really really good all-around multi-surface all-carbon endurance bike, Felt VR Advanced is an amazing best bang for the buck IMHO. (I am NOT a paid hack writing reviews, I just really love this bike!) The only thing at all negative: the saddle. Such a personal thing, saddles...

I almost couldn't believe what I was unpacking when I got it (in only 3 days). Whoa. Carbon wheels? And, electronic shifting with wireless shifters, plus the 12 speed RD capacity to gear down to 36 rear cogs. Wow!!
I'd called with a few questions that were handled well, so pulled the trigger. So glad to get all I did for $2K. If I had need for another, I'd go for it.
I know it is an older model and maybe can't get much wider tires on it (but 32mm works fine), but I'm very pleased and look forward to spring when warmer weather will allow a more thorough testing and putting it through it's paces. I'm confident my initial glee will be reinforced.

If you are on the fence about this bike, let me assuage your fears. This thing is a rocket and it's freaking gorgeous too. I was skeptical and Wheel and Sprocket politely and patiently answered my inane questions. I just needed to talk to someone before I pulled the trigger, you know?
Also it shipped faster than Amazon prime. I can't wait to get this thing dialed in and on the road.
The end caps are there: It was in the plastic cover over the wheel hubs.

Also, he can't read. You're supposed to have it assembled by a professional to keep the warrant with Felt lol. Cannot believe someone would complain at this price. It's worth it, best bike I've ever owned and all my friends are jealous lol.
