Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100 BR-M8100 Front Hydraulic Disc Brake 850mm J-Kit
The Shimano Deore XT M8100 front hydraulic disc brake combines an adjustable BL-M8100 brake lever with the lightweight BR-M8100 two-piston caliper. It provides reliable stopping power, predictable modulation and responsive control for cross-country and trail mountain bikes.
Shimano Servo Wave technology moves the pads rapidly toward the rotor during the lever’s initial stroke and then progressively increases braking power. The lever features tool-free reach adjustment and adjustable free stroke, allowing the rider to customize its position and braking feel.
This OEM front-brake J-Kit uses an 850mm SM-BH90-SBM hydraulic hose. J-Kit components are prepared for easier installation and internal routing, with the hose connection potentially separated at the lever. Connection, hose trimming and a final bleed may be required during installation.

The disc-brake rotor, rotor lockring or bolts, frame- or fork-specific caliper adapter and mounting hardware are not included unless specifically pictured.
J-Kit brakes may arrive with the hose disconnected from the lever to permit internal routing. Installation may require routing or shortening the hose, fitting the connector insert and performing a final mineral-oil bleed. Do not use DOT brake fluid with this system.
This is the BR-M8100 two-piston post-mount version, not the four-piston BR-M8120 model or flat-mount BR-M8110 caliper. Confirm the required caliper mounting standard, hose length, lever orientation and rotor size before purchasing.
