The SRAM Force 1 AXS D2 Power Meter Crankset combines lightweight carbon crank arms, a direct-mount 42T X-SYNC chainring, and cleanly integrated Quarq power measurement for high-performance 1x road, gravel, cyclocross, and all-road drivetrains.
Unlike the Force D2 2x power-meter crankset, this 1x version uses SRAM's DUB-PWR spindle-based power meter. The electronics are housed inside the DUB spindle, measuring left-side power and calculating total wattage while leaving the chainring independent and easily replaceable.
This configuration features 172.5mm crank arms, a 42T direct-mount chainring, standard-width Road DUB spindle, and 45mm chainline.

Why the 1x Power Meter Is Different
The Force D2 1x crankset uses a different power-meter architecture than the Force D2 2x crankset.
Force D2 1x
- Power meter is housed inside the DUB spindle
- Measures left-side power and calculates total wattage
- Direct-mount chainring remains independently replaceable
- Allows compatible 1x gearing changes without replacing the power meter
Force D2 2x
- Uses an integrated chainring and power-meter assembly
- Power measurement is incorporated into the 2x chainring system
The spindle-based design makes the Force 1 version especially convenient for riders who may want to change chainring sizes over time.
Drivetrain Compatibility
Although this is a D2-generation Force crankset, it is not restricted to a D2-only drivetrain.
It is compatible with appropriate SRAM AXS 1x road and gravel drivetrain combinations using current Flattop chain technology, allowing it to work across compatible earlier and newer SRAM AXS generations.
The crank can therefore serve as a replacement or upgrade within compatible D1, D2, and E1-era SRAM AXS road/gravel systems, provided the complete drivetrain, chainline, chain, cassette, and derailleur requirements are met.
