Pops right up and down quickly. There is a couple mm of play back and forth but my other dropper post on a new Trek bike I bought in 2022 does the same thing so this should be expected.
The description and picture are accurate in that it does not come with cable housing- just the cable. So order some cable housing. I am far from a skilled bike tinkerer but installation was very easy on a Trek X-Caliber 8.
